GSMA, the organisation that represents mobile network operators globally, had invested in a video campaign, ‘Case For Change’, producing 20 short films that highlighted the corporate social responsibility programs of their members around the UN Global Sustainability Goals. They needed a way to bring this campaign to their audience at World Mobile Congress.
We designed and build an Android app to work with the Samsung Gear VR headset that allowed the audience to watch the standard 16x9 videos within a VR environment, launching the films from a global map that featured hotspots where each film was made.
We also produced a 360 video to explain the Case For Change project and played as an introduction in the app. The film featured footage from four contents and was sourced from footage we shot for the project and carefully curated stock footage.
